You&#8217;ll hear loads of clapping sounds followed by dull thuds and plenty of grunting noises as gravity does its work&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So I came up with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.karateteaching.com\/karatedrills\">creative training method<\/a> to help students develop their clap pushups.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than me try to explain, watch the video below&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Karate Lake Elsinore - California Shitoryu Karate\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/G813MHWfnUs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;\">In fact you could use this same method to help your struggling students with virtually any kind of pushup&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>regular pushups<\/li>\n<li>one armed pushups<\/li>\n<li>diamond pushups<\/li>\n<li>deltoid pushups<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Just place the belt under the part of the body that requires assistance. For example if you have a student who suffers from <em>&#8220;hammock back syndrome&#8221;<\/em> when doing regular pushups, you might place the belt under their hips to give them a little lift&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>With this kind of assisted training, students can learn proper technique when before they had no hope of even getting started.
